Ex-Giant Brad Drew glad to be back

RETURNING Giants hero Brad Drew admits he can’t wait to play at the Galpharm for the first time since his move to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 18 months ago.

The Australian has missed all three previous Huddersfield v Wakefield fixtures following his switch because of injury.

But the 33-year-old Wakefield playmaker is fit and ready for action tomorrow, and he admits he is excited about what the contest might hold.

“I’m really looking forward to playing on the Galpharm pitch again,” said the former Giants Player of the Year.

“It will be the first time I’ve been back since I moved to Wakefield, so I’m really looking forward to playing.

“I hope the Giants fans will give me a good reception, and I don’t get too many boos instead!

“I’ve got some great memories at Huddersfield and met some good people there, and I’m still friends with the majority of the side.

“But if I do get a bit of a rowdy reception, I appreciate it’s just part of the game and I’ve just get on with it.”

Drew is expected to come up against in-form Giants scrum half Luke Robinson at some stage.
