DANNY ORR – a half-back who is an excellent support runner, Danny also has strong defence and a first class kicking game which is benefiting from his growing experience.
He signed a three-year deal with Harlequins in 2007 and it is an indication of Danny’s fine form since arriving at the Stoop, Danny was voted the Quins ‘Players Player of the Year’ for in his first season.
Danny remains a key player in the Quins RL squad and his experience will prove vital to the team’s younger, more inexperienced players.
A FORMER Royal Marine, ex-Bradford Bulls star Brian McDermott was appointed head coach of Harlequins RL In July 2006.
McDermott is widely regarded as one of the rugby league's leading young coaches and his successes with Harlequins, particularly this season, have cemented that reputation.
As a player Brian toured Oceania with Great Britain In 1996, making his Test debut against Fiji in Suva and three further caps were gained in the 1997 Ashes Tests against Australia.
He was a member of a number of formidable packs at with the Bulls at Odsal, Brian was notably one of the infamous 'fearsome foursome' the other members being Giants assistant coach Paul Anderson, Stuart Fielden and Joe Vagana.
