Jamahl Lolesi fit and ready to take on Bradford Buls

JAMAHL LOLESI has declared himself fit for tomorrow’s home clash against Bradford Bulls, despite continuing to battle to overcome a foot injury.
The former New Zealand Test ace missed most of July with a stress fracture to the foot and admits he is still struggling.
And while he has recovered from a nasty challenge during last weekend’s Challenge Cup semi-final triumph over St Helens when he landed awkwardly on his neck, the 28-year-old admits his foot is still a cause for concern.
“The foot’s still not 100% and I’m having to take it week by week,” he admitted.
“I should be playing tomorrow, and then we’ll take things from there.
“At the moment it’s a case of taking things week by week, but obviously the fact the Challenge Cup final at Wembley is just a fortnight away is at the back of my mind.”
But while Lolesi intends to play, fellow semi-final heroes Paul Jackson and Shaun Lunt are rested this weekend and don’t make the Giants’ 19-man squad.
Back after missing out at Warrington are Martin Aspinwall, Simon Finnigan, Michael Lawrence and Danny Sculthorpe.
Giants: B Hodgson, Aspinwall, Brown, Whatuira, D Hodgson, Fulton, Robinson, Crabtree, Faiumu, D Griffin, Lolesi, Wild, Finnigan, Mason, Kirmond, Lawrence, Moore, Cudjoe, Sculthorpe.
Bulls: Sykes, Langley, Sheriffe, Kopczak, Donaldson, Scruton, Menzies, Whitehead, Godwin, Cook, Halley, Nero, Lynch, Tadulala, Morrison, Burgess, Worrincy, Platt, Deacon.
Referee: Phil Bentham.
