Liam Fulton determined to see Giants build on big Challenge Cup final experience

“That’s why I think we were all pleased to get back to training today.
“Although the Challenge Cup has gone, there’s still a few games left to go in the season and there are the semi-finals just around the corner.
“We’ve done really well in the League and we shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that we’re in the top four.
“It’s up to us to make sure we don’t let the disappointment of the Cup final get the better of us and re-double our efforts in the Super League.
“We’ve had one taste of what it’s like to play in a major final, we’d love to have the chance to take part in another in about six weeks’ time.”
Last weekend’s Challenge Cup final was obviously the first time Fulton has played in such a major final in England.
And he admits the occasion, and the chance to play at Wembley Stadium was an unforgettable experience.
“This game and this stadium are very special,” he added.
“I was looking forward to playing in a game like this from the moment I signed, and it was an amazing experience.
“But, unfortunately, I think the way we performed showed that the occasion could have got to us a bit.
“That’s something we’ll hope to address fully in review this week.
“Having to do the analyse on video might be a bit tough, but it’s one of the ways of getting over this horror and making sure we move straight on.”
Huddersfield’s Academy side are in action tonight when they entertain Castleford Tigers at Laund Hill (7pm).
