Giants sensation Lawrence on St Helens clash

“I missed out on playing in the Challenge Cup final, but to be involved in the whole Wembley experience on the day was just awesome,” said Lawrence.

“It really was great just to be there and be able to take it all in and I think that has given us the hunger for more big days.

“I know it has given all the guys the urge to be involved in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.”

And as a Huddersfield product, Lawrence is as determined as anyone that the Giants should give their fans even more to shout about this season.

“Last season was my breakthrough year with the first team, but we weren’t so successful and ended up finishing third bottom in Super League,” he said.

“It has been fantastic the way we have managed to turn things around this year, but what we now have to do is kick on and try and give the fans some silverware.

“We all want the club to progress and I feel that we are getting stronger and stronger, but what we have to achieve is that consistency in our performance from game to game.

“If we can do that from year to year then great things should happen for this club.”
