Huddersfield Giants' Michael Lawrence pride after being named in world's best young players

“The only reason those two got the nod over me was that they have more of the big-game experience, which I couldn’t argue about.
“Next season it will again be something of a battle between the three of us to claim the two centre spots, and at the moment Nathan has an open mind as to who will get the first crack at it.
“So the key is to keep knuckling down in training and make sure that when the season is about to start I’m fitter and stronger than I’ve ever been.
“And the initial signs are promising.
“I’m now a couple of centimetres taller than I was last season and I’ve put on 2kg, and I feel better for it.
“That’s come on the back of pushing myself even harder in training, and if I carry on improving at this rate I’ll definitely put myself in a strong position to be in the side that faces Bradford in the opening game next season.”
