Jamahl Lolesi: Inside the squad

HI, it’s Jammer here.

How quick the year has come back around! It’s that time again, the time to let all the inside mail out and let those Giants fans inside the team for some insight.

Before I get started, though, a quick mention on the rugby league side of things.

We’ve made a pretty good start and, although there’s a lot of improvement left in us, the new signings have been outstanding and the younger boys have stepped up, making the team balanced with youth and experience.

You’ve heard me say this before, but the work put in with the young lads is starting to show, and I think we have the best batch of young players in Super League with the likes of Leroy Cudjoe, Michael Lawrence, Larne Patrick, Shaun Lunt and young Kyle Wood.

I look forward to 2010 and I’m sure you all feel the same.

Anyway, this week we’re going to focus our attention on one Shaun Lunt, the shark-toothed Cumbrian with a big future and even bigger dreams and aspirations.

Dreams you say? Yes dreams, that’s exactly what they are after Shaun was so kind to fill us in on his five-year plan, which sounds more like a modern day Cinderella story to me!

Shaun has dreams to one day play in the Australian NRL and become a celebrity Down Under, therefore shooting him into Australia’s A-list scene, somehow connecting him with a celebrity girlfriend, a Home and Away actress being his preference.

He will than become the David Beckham of rugby league, with him and his girlfriend snapped regularly by the paparazzi.
