Jamahl Lolesi: Let's finish the year in style

HI, it’s Jammer here.

Well, five games to go and we are really trying hard for a final push before the semi-finals!

The heartache of last Friday’s one-point loss at Leeds Rhinos is still a sore one, but there is no room for feeling sorry for ourselves.

If we can win four out of the last five games, we’ll be right in the mix of things, with some big guns returning from injury in time to play ourselves into top form before the semis.

The return of the three big boys, Dave Fa’alogo, Andy Raleigh and Keith Mason, as well our captain Brett Hodgson, will be a big boost, and then, of course, the flying winger – me! Well, ‘flying’ may be stretching it a little, with ‘the old statesman’ tag probably a better analogy.

But, whatever anyone wants to call me, let’s all get together as a town and push the Giants into the semis!

And it’s great to know a number of local juniors will be part of that semis mix.

The growth of these talented young players is going really well, and it’s no surprise at all.

Like I’ve been saying for the last two years, we are now getting the best out of the younger generation, such as Leroy Cudjoe, Micheal Lawrence, Larne Patrick, Jermaine McGillvary and Adam Walker to name just a few.
