Huddersfield Giants book home tie in Super League play-offs

VICTORIOUS Huddersfield Giants have booked a home tie in the play-offs!
Yesterday’s 52-4 Galpharm Super League thrashing of Salford City Reds has guaranteed a top-six finish for coach Nathan Brown’s men.
The Giants could, in fact, finish as high as fourth if a combination of results go their way on the final weekend of the season.
That obviously has to include a win for Huddersfield at Catalans Dragons on Saturday, September 4.
With the French side bottom of the table and having been thrashed at Leeds Rhinos on Friday night, the Giants will be red-hot favourites to finish the final game of the regular season with a win.
And in-form David Faiumu, who was man-of-the-match for the Giants in yesterday’s nine-try rout of the City Reds, believes that would put them in the ideal position to mount a serious play-off challenge.
“We’re looking good for the play-offs, and we’ll be ready!” said the former New Zealand Test star.
