Heartbreak for Brown’s Huddersfield Giants troops against St Helens

GIANTS coach Nathan Brown was proud of his troops and believes his side will come back stronger from the disappointment of losing at St Helens last night in Huddersfield’s first Super League play-off semi-final.
The Giants suffered the heartbreak of a 42-22 defeat in the last ever game at Knowsley Road and missed out on the chance to reach next Saturday’s Grand Final at Old Trafford.
But Galpharm chief Brown is confident his side will build on their achievements in this season’s competition.
“This time last year we weren’t playing at this stage, but this time we have got this far,” said Brown.
“That shows the strides we are continuing to make as a club, and the key now is to build on this achievement next season.
“The boys are disappointed because they came here expecting to win the game and that is a very good sign. We are developing all the time and if we do continue to improve it could be our turn to go to Old Trafford next time.
“The players certainly have got it in them to do that.”
Brown was disappointed with the defeat, but felt his players efforts were not reflected in the final scoreline.
