LUKE ROBINSON is confident of making a Giants return within a month of the Super League XVI season.

The new England star underwent surgery on his damaged shoulder seven days ago, with everything having gone according to plan.

That operation came three weeks after he went under the knife to repair the broken elbow he suffered during England’s Four Nations victory over Papua New Guinea.

Again, the surgery proved a success, with the 26-year-old delighted with the way his body is healing.

“The elbow is feeling good and the shoulder operation was a success, so I’m feeling pretty happy at the moment,” he said.

“My surgeon told me there was more damage to the shoulder than was originally thought, so there was a bit more repair work to be done.

“But, fortunately, that hasn’t put my recovery time back.

“It still means I should only miss the first month of the season, although I don’t even intend to do that if it can be helped!”
