HUDDERSFIELD Giants prop Keith Mason has been ruled out for 12 weeks.
The 29-year-old suffered knee ligament damage during Sunday's 34-10 Super League triumph over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the Galpharm Stadium.
Giants medical staff feared the worse as soon as Mason picked up the injury in the closing stages of the West Yorkshire derby, and those fears were confirmed this morning following the results of a scan.
Mason will immediately begin a three-month rehabilitation programme, with the hope he will be fit to return for the July 3 home showdown with the Crusaders at the latest.
