FORMER Giants hero Brett Hodgson intends to treat tonight’s first Super League return to the Galpharm Stadium as ‘just another game.’
After spending two highly-successful seasons with the Giants, the inspirational 33-year-old goalkicking full-back will play for new club Warrington at his old ‘home’ for the first time in an eagerly-awaited top-of-the-table clash.

Hodgson admits it could prove an emotional occasion, with the Australian having crowned an outstanding 2009 season in the claret and gold by picking up the coveted Super League Man of Steel award.
But having settled in well with the Wolves, Hodgson is desperate to lead Warrington to victory and deny the Giants the chance to replace them at the top of Super League.
“I think everyone knows how disappointed I was to leave the Giants. I loved my time at the club,” said Hodgson, who still lives in Slaithwaite.
“But I’ve got over that now and my main aim is to do what I can to keep Warrington at the top of the table. There’s no room for sentiment at all.
“Having said that, I am delighted to see Warrington top and Huddersfield second, and I want it to stay that way!
“We know that’s not going to be easy, because the Giants are one of the form teams in the comp. It’s going to be very tough and very physical.”
Hodgson already has first-hand knowledge of being on the receiving end of a strong Huddersfield performance, having been in the Warrington side that lost 28-16 in Cardiff on the opening weekend of the season.
But he believes that will count for nothing tonight.
