LUKE GEORGE is ready to make enemies of his new best friends.
By common consent all of Huddersfield Giants’ signings are settling in to their new surroundings superbly.
But even though 24-year-old Huddersfield-born George is delighted with the way he has adjusted to his new Galpharm life following his switch from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, the winger knows he’s coming in attempting to rock the boat.
George may be very close friends with the likes of Leroy Cudjoe, Jermaine McGillvary and Michael Lawrence, but with all three rival competitors for his place, he knows the friendships could be tested to the full.
"It’s going really good, I’ve fitted in so quickly," said George, who hails from Longwood.
"I knew a lot of the guys who were already here and the rest are really good lads, so I’m getting along well.
"I’m already great friends with Leroy Cudjoe, Jermaine McGillvary and Michael Lawrence, and have known them for some time, but there’s also Scott Grix, Danny Brough, Dale Ferguson and Aaron Murphy from my time at Wakefield, so they’ve shown me the ropes and eased me in, which has definitely helped a lot.
