ADAM WALKER admits he’s about to face his make-or-break season at the Giants.

The 20-year-old prop has spent the past three years at the Galpharm.

In that time he has been restricted to just two Super League appearances – off the bench at Salford in 2010 and then as a substitute in the home win over Hull KR in July last season.

But with Walker out of contract at the end of next season, he knows now is the time to step up to the plate.

And with fellow prop Darrell Griffin having now left for Leeds, the former Victoria Rangers junior knows this is his golden opportunity.

“I know this is going to be the most important season in my career so far,” said Walker, whose twin brother Jonathon has already started to establish himself in Castleford Tigers’ senior side.

“With several of our top forwards missing the start of the season through injury, this is the chance for me to finally get a bit of a run in the Super League side.

“Nathan Brown has already told me that’s going to be the case, as long as I keep my head down and continue to work hard in pre-season.

“But with this being the final year of my contract, I won’t lack motivation.

“I’m desperate to stay here a lot longer, and if I don’t step up I know that won’t be the case. That’ll be my chance gone.
