GET ready to see Robbie Hunter-Paul as you’ve never seen him before!
The Giants and Bradford Bulls legend will tomorrow be donning a fluorescent tutu, leg warmers and head band all in the name of charity.
That’s the outfit fans have chosen him to wear for the 10-mile walk from Huddersfield to Bradford ahead of the two clubs’ Super League clash to raise cash for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust and the Giants’ Academy.
And once at Bradford’s Odsal ground the Giants business development manager will continue the punishment by running up every step in the stadium.
“I’m really looking forward to this fund-raising event, even though I’d got serious doubts about the outfit I’ll be wearing!” said Hunter-Paul (left).
“But the fact it’s for such a good cause makes it tolerable.
“I just hope I’m joined by as many supporters as possible along the way so we raise as much cash as we can for a truly important and local cause.
“I’ve also just been handed a massive lift by Boost Oxygen, who are supplying bottles of their product, which the walkers can buy to boost funds. It’s a great gesture.”
The walk sets off at 9.30am from the Galpharm Stadium tomorrow where Robbie will meet fellow fundraisers outside the stadium ticket office.
For those still keen on taking part, there is a £5 registration fee for adults and £1 for children. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
