Swinton Lions winger sends out warning to Huddersfield Giants

SWINTON Lions winger Kevin Penny is ready for the club’s biggest test of the season so far when they face the might of Super League leaders Huddersfield at the Galpharm on Sunday.

But the former Super League Dream Team winger during his time at Warrington Wolves can’t wait for battle to commence!

Penny scored two tries in the 70-10 victory over Gateshead Thunder in the last round and he’ll be hoping he can get on the scoresheet again as Swinton aim to emulate giant-killers Featherstone Rovers, who knocked Castleford Tigers out of the Cup in round four.

“It’s great to be involved at this stage in the competition and it’s a big achievement for any club to reach the fifth round,” said Penny.

“It’s a cliché now but anything can happen in the Cup.

“Featherstone showed the other week and we have to go into Sunday’s tie full of self-belief.

“Everyone’s excited about the game. We’ve got a great squad and the boys are all looking forward to the test.

“We’re going into this game with no fear and with nothing to lose. We’re massive underdogs so there’s no expectation on our shoulders and that’s to our advantage.
