LEROY CUDJOE’S England call could be just what he needs to re-discover top Super League form.
That’s the hope of Huddersfield Giants chief Nathan Brown after the highly-talented centre was named in a 21-man squad along with teammates Danny Brough and Eorl Crabtree for next Saturday’s opening Origin Test against the Exiles at St Helens’ Langtree Park.
Brown said of the former Newsome Panther, 24: “Leroy’s not where he’d like to be, which is the case with a number of people at the moment. But this latest England call should do him a power of good. It could be just what he needs.
“Leroy had a period last season when he was a bit flat, but he ended up finishing the year off great.
“This news could signal the start of that process again.”
Ahead of Monday’s home clash with Hull KR (8.00) Brown said of Brough and Crabtree: “They’ve been really good throughout the year and have been form players. We’re looking forward to seeing them have big games next weekend.”
