HUDDERSFIELD Giants have chalked up the second win of their RL Nines campaign.

After securing an 18-4 victory over Castleford during the Tigers Festival a week ago, the club’s Under 20s side beat the same opposition 36-24 at the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Festival.

But as well as completing a double over the Tigers, the Giants also suffered a 22-0 defeat to the hosts and lost 22-12 to leading Co-operative Championship side Featherstone.

The Nine’s squad will be back in action during round four next Tuesday, also at Wakefield, when Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC will join the fray.

Before then, Huddersfield revert back to the traditional 13-a-side format this weekend when they travel to Bradford Bulls on Saturday (12.30) in a re-arranged Valvoline Cup clash.

The club’s Under 18s are also in action on Saturday when they travel to Wakefield in the Valvoline Academy (2.30).
