EORL CRABTREE believes he’s been handed a golden opportunity to establish himself as a starting England prop.
But he’s disappointed it’s come at the expense of highly-respected fellow front-rower Jamie Peacock.
England captain Peacock announced yesterday he was retiring from international rugby league with immediate effect.
Peacock has been the cornerstone of the England pack for the past decade and will prove a hard act to follow.
But with Giants favourite Crabtree (left) having started for England in last week’s Origin International against the Exiles alongside Peacock after appearing to have moved ahead of another international veteran in Adrian Morley in the pecking order, the Huddersfield man knows this could be his big chance.
