HUDDERSFIELD Giants have appointed a new head physiotherapist.
Current Munster Rugby Union physio Dave O’Sullivan will take up a similar role at the Super League club in what is seen as a return ‘home’.
O’Sullivan will take over from Nathan Mill, who moves over to St Helens with former Giants head coach Nathan Brown for the start of next season.
The new man will work alongside club doctor Amit Pannu in overseeing all aspects of the Giants’ rehabilitation and medical provision.
The 27-year-old graduate of the University of Huddersfield has a wealth of league experience from a spell at the Rhinos before taking up one of the most prestigious high-profile jobs with Union powerhouse Munster.
And he is seen by Giants head coach Paul Anderson as a key appointment:
“I’m delighted Dave is coming on board to work here,” said Anderson.
“His CV is second-to-none and he has a real desire to work at this club, which appeals to me.
“Already ahead of his start he is putting protocols into place that will advance what we have and build upon some solid very groundwork.”
