JACOB FAIRBANK will have a run-out with Batley Bulldogs tonight.
The fit-again 22-year-old Giants back-row forward (pictured right) will line-up in a pre-season clash against Halifax at Mount Pleasant (7.00) in a bid to get some more gametime under his belt.
Former Elland junior Fairbank made a relatively brief appearance in Sunday’s 36-12 home trial triumph over Widnes Vikings.
That came just over a week since his return to the full squad following a should reconstruction.
And Huddersfield chief Paul Anderson believes he’ll benefit from playing against the Bulldogs and alongside fellow Giants youngsters Ben Blackmore and Matty Dawson tonight.
“Bobby needs gametime more than anything else right now,” said Anderson, whose club now has an official link with the Bulldogs.
“Sunday’s game was his first taste of action since he underwent major surgery, so tonight will do him a power of good.”
