Kevin Brown: Good to be back in the winning groove

WHAT a difference a week makes!

Seven days ago, we were still in a slump and desperate to end a run of five straight Super League defeats.

But after our victory over London Broncos the mood is a lot more positive.

Obviously, this one win doesn’t mean everything is perfect and it’ll only be a matter of time before we’re back at the top of the Super League table.

However, there were so many positive signs that things are starting to head back in the right direction. There was more defensive resolve, more sharpness on our attack and greater character shown by the squad as a whole.

We’ll clearly have a better idea after Sunday’s trip to Hull, which everyone knows is going to be tough.

But I think with the confidence of a number of players having now returned, it won’t be long before we see the real Huddersfield Giants again.

And wouldn’t it be good if we could then back up a good win at the KC Stadium by seeing six of our boys in action at the England v Exiles Origin International at the Galpharm next Wednesday.

There’s a chance Danny Brough, Eorl Crabtree and Leroy Cudjoe could be lining up for England and opposite Jason Chan, David Fa’alogo and David Faiumu for the Exiles.

I’ll be delighted if anyone gets the nod, but I’d be particularly pleased for Broughy.
