Nathan Brown looks to build on success

But Brown knows his side will need to improve dramatically on yesterday’s showing if they want to maintain their position at the top end of the Super League ladder.

“We actually started much better than we have been doing in recent weeks, but our ball control was really disappointing,” added Brown, who reported that Kevin Brown has recovered well after being forced off the field with a heavy head knock in the closing moments of the contest.

“I think we made six errors in a row in the first half and they were just poor errors.

“We’re not doing good enough in that area and, defensively, we’ve still got a fair way to go to get back where we’d like to be.”

Brown, meanwhile, has refused to rule out the rumours that his club is interested in signing inspirational Wakefield half-back Danny Brough.

“We’re interested in a lot of players,” he admitted.
