Andy Booth: Come on Everton!
May 29 2009 by Andy Booth, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
Moyes has done as good a job as anyone could with a club outside the top four and it would be no surprise to me if he was at the very top of the pecking order should a vacancy appear at Old Trafford in the next few years.
To have the FA Cup on his CV would definitely help, but I’m sure the Chelsea lads would like to say farewell to Hiddink as winners too.
Chelsea were in turmoil when he was brought in to replace Luiz Felipe Scolari, but they have recovered smartly to finish third in the league, reach the cup final and go within a minute of another appearance in the Champions League final.
He seems to have brought the discipline and spirit back and he couldn’t have done much more in his time at Stamford Bridge.
It is certainly going to be an interesting final.
My heart wants Everton to win, so I will tip Chelsea – that should make sure!
I’M going to watch some Drakes League cricket this weekend either side of the FA Cup final.
I’m delighted to see my club, Hall Bower, placed nicely in second spot in the Cedar Court Conference.
Well done lads, keep it going.
