Andy Booth column: Huddersfield Town are working hard behind the scenes

TENNIS is not my No1 interest, but I must admit I love watching Wimbledon.

It starts this year on June 22 and I’m hoping that Andy Murray can do well following his unfortunate exit from the French Open.

Murray is a great player, he’s had a tremendous year and it’s nice to see him ranked up there in the top three players in the world.

Ask me if he’s likely to win Wimbledon, though, and I’d have to say ‘no’, I don’t think he will.

It’s incredibly difficult to win a grand slam tournament and, having missed out in Paris when the draw seemed to have opened up for him, it might be a while before he challenges again.

I hope not, and perhaps his best chance will come at the US Open, where he has already been a finalist and where the surface seems to suit his game the best.

I’D LIKE to say congratulations to Nathan Clarke and his new wife Lauren.

They got married on Tuesday over in Cheshire and it was a terrific time.

About half the Town lads were over there and it was really good to get together, relax and enjoy the whole occasion.

We all had a good time, the place where it was held was smashing, and I’d just like to congratulate Nathan and Lauren and wish them all the best for the future.
