Oldham 0, Huddersfield Town 3

Worthington's driving play between the boxes was just as influential as the passing of Carss, which allowed Schofield and Chris Brandon to shine down the flanks.

Brandon constantly found space to raid and, with Abbott always willing to show for the ball and Taylor-Fletcher battling for everything, Town had a very confident look about them.

There were spells when the home side just couldn't get the ball as Town exploited their man advantage by stretching the play, and had Abbott's flashing 25-yard drive gone in instead of crashing out off the bar just three minutes into the second half, it might have become a rout.

Beckett was cheered by both sets of fans when he went on for Oldham, just as Carss was when going off for Town, but only one set were left celebrating at the end. This was just what Town needed after Scunthorpe.
