TOWN should be content with a point from a derby which never stirred the blood and will not live long in the memory.
Six weeks ago at Valley Parade, Peter Jackson's side produced a compelling mix of passion and performance to outgun Bradford and deservedly win in front of the live Sky cameras.
They rarely matched that high-octane standard in Saturday's early kick off and, indeed, it was Bradford who went closest to snatching victory with Mark Bower's flying header off a post.
Both defences played well, however, and while some Town fans may be frustrated with a first goalless draw at the stadium in 15 months (since Chesterfield visited in the second match of last season) they should perhaps look at the bigger picture.
Town have taken four points off Bradford this season compared with none last term - a factor which could mean the difference between automatic promotion or the play-offs - and they still hold a 10-point advantage over their M606 neighbours in the table.
With another home game to come against Nottingham Forest this weekend, too, Town are still powering along in League I with the joint best home record at this level.
Those statistics speak for themselves, although it's difficult not to ponder how Town could have turned one point into three on the back of their success down at Yeovil.
Bradford, it must be remembered, are better on their travels than at home this season and in Bower and David Wetherall had two accomplished centre-backs on the top of their form.
