Barnsley 2, Huddersfield 2

Man of the Match: Danny Adams

Held off a strong challenge from Adnan Ahmed for the award and did it with a footsure display of passing, tackling and covering which helped put Barnsley on the back foot

How they rated:

Paul Rachubka Made good saves from Hayes and Burns but let himself down with the first goal, failing to claim a floated Burns free kick Rating: 6/10

Andy Holdsworth Pushed forward well in the second half and also linked well with Fletch on some probing breaks. Did well in the tackle, too Rating: 7/10

Danny Adams Celebrated his new contract with a top display. Hardly put a foot wrong and some of his tackling was superb Rating: 9/10

Martin McIntosh Did well in his first start for four months. Close with a couple of headers and made some good challenges Rating: 7/10

Nathan Clarke Solid and played some excellent balls forward. Fittingly involved in the late equaliser. Probably deserves higher mark Rating: 7/10

Adnan Ahmed His best 90 minutes for a long while. A driving force, close to scoring and very close to a man of the match display Rating: 8/10

Jon Worthington Got an early warning but still picked up the caution which rules him out at Chelsea. One great step-over. Rating: 6/10

Danny Schofield Had one or two pops at goal but not one of his better days as Barnsley defended and blocked well around their box Rating: 6/10

Chris Brandon Produced some lovely touches and used his pace well to trouble a home defence relieved when he was taken off Rating: 7/10

Andy Booth Magnificent in the air, a willing worker and scored a cracking 10th goal of the season. On form from start to finish Rating: 8/10

Gary T-Fletcher For the second time in three games he netted a last-gasp equaliser. Had a couple of other good shooting chances Rating: 7/10

Turning Point:

Not so much a turning point in this dramatic game but perhaps it could be a turning point in the season for Pawel Abbott.

Town were already well on top in the second half when Abbott was sent on, but he did plenty of good things and if he was a bit low on confidence before this, then he has no reason to be any more

Spotlight on the ref:

The man who booked five and sent off two when Town beat Brentford, Eddie Ilderton was pretty much on the spot for his decisions but surprised many in the crowd when he failed to give a penalty against Danny Adams in the first half when he looked to trip Shuker. Kept a tight grip on things and had a decent game overall

Barnsley: Colgan; Hassell (Tonge HT), Reid, Carbon, Austin; Shuker, Burns, Howard, Devaney (Williams 82); Richards, Hayes (Nardiello 70). Subs not used: Flinders, Wroe.
