Huddersfield Town 2, Blackpool 0

The fans even had time to enjoy a Bradford goal, flashed up on the scoreboard against Swansea, while young Clarke had the last word on Town's performance with a fantastic tackle on Blackpool skipper Peter Clarke as he tried to race through.

Superb stuff.

Man of the Match: Tom Clarke

Peter Jackson could well have unearthed a midfield gem in the 18-year-old defender who not only won the ball magnificently but was always willing to burst forward and pressure the defence

Turning Point:

The early strike by Tom Clarke ended 343 minutes without a goal at the Galpharm and gave Town the platform from which to dominate the game.

Town had a let-off when Keigan Parker fired inches wide just before half time, but the clincher from Danny Schofield was no more than Town deserved for their efforts
