Dan Smith, also making his first start on loan from Sunderland, looked totally non-plussed as Oldham dominated every phase, but Smith also showed some clever touches in the second half as Town came battling back.

One last vital save from Senior was needed to seal the points as Swailes thought he'd grabbed an equaliser, and the roar which sounded at the final whistle was one of pure relief.

Man of the Match: David Graham

Excellent debut for the loan man and a winning goal to boot. His touch throughout was top class and when he gets fully match fit, he's going to be a massive asset to the team

Turning Point:

The own goal by Guy Branston just before half time put Town back in the game after their worst 45 minutes for a long time, but Peter Jackson's side would have been dead and buried long before that had Phil Senior not come up with world class saves to deny Chris Swailes and Luke Beckett as Oldham dominated
