Man of the Match: Chris Brandon
Just held off the excellent David Graham to take the award but richly deserves it. He was creative and dangerous all through the game. Tremendous.
Turning Point:
Probably the opening goal from impressive Martin McIntosh as it gave Town the extra confidence to go on and totally dominate. McIntosh also made Mirfin's goal and is adding to Booth's aerial power at both ends of the pitch
How they rated:
Phil Senior Didn't have a serious save to make all match but handled well under pressure from McLeod when Taylor shot low Rating: 7/10
David Mirfin Grabbed his second goal of the season on 76 and deserved it for a strong display in attack and defence at right back. Rating: 7/10
Danny Smith Super cross to Fletcher for his goal and a well delivered corner led to Mirfin's strike. Looking confident at left back Rating: 7/10
Martin McIntosh Scored his first goal at the Galpharm and also made Mirfin's goal with a fine header. Confident and dominant display Rating: 7/10
Nathan Clarke Let one clearance bounce which almost led to a goal for McLeod, but otherwise excellent at the back Rating: 7/10
Gary T-Fletcher Very lively in the first half and deserved his excellent headed goal. Went off at half time suffering a knee injury Rating: 7/10
Jon Worthington Raided forward for his second goal in three games and got a terrific ovation when he went off on 78 minutes Rating: 7/10
Michael Collins Delighted to score his first career goal in the final minute following a lovely move, he is getting better by the game Rating: 7/10
Chris Brandon Full of trickery and flair, he ran the Dons ragged and created a fantastic move for the Collins goal right at the end Rating: 8/10
Andy Booth Had one stinging first half volley beaten away and was his usual threat in the air. Rested for the last nine minutes Rating: 7/10
David Graham Didn't get a goal but the quality of his link-up play was stamped all over the performance. Just a treat to watch Rating: 8/10
Spotlight on the Ref:
Nottingham whistler Russell Booth had a decent game, although he became a bit of a mystery when playing advantage (or not, as the case may be).
A few times he stopped play when advantage was clear and vice versa. Not bad overall.
Milton Keynes Dons: Baker; Morgan (McClenahan 77), Chorley, Partridge, Lewington; Edds, Mitchell (Rizzo 52), Harding, Small; Taylor, McLeod (Platt 52). Subs not used: Kamara, Wilbraham.
