Home HTAFC Huddersfield Town Reports

Swansea 1, Huddersfield Town 2

How they rated:

Matt Glennon Unsighted for goal, but what a shame he was unable to mark a bright and confident display with a clean sheet. Rating: 7/10

Andy Holdsworth Worked hard on his return after a bout of shingles. Tackled strongly and pushed forward at every opportunity. Rating: 7/10

Danny Adams Picked up a needless yellow card for time-wasting, but that was the only letdown in a committed display. Rating: 7/10

Martin McIntosh Took the captain's armband on his return to duty after a loan spell at Grimsby. As if he'd never been away! Rating: 7/10

David Mirfin His yellow card was very harsh but couldn't take the gloss of a solid show against a tricky frontline duo. Rating: 7/10

Gary T-Fletcher Town's leading scorer took his two goals extremely well. Looked lively for the 69 minutes he was involved. Rating: 7/10

Michael Collins More than held his own in a physical midfield showdown and formed a solid partnership with Mark Hudson. Rating: 7/10

Mark Hudson Got involved right from the off and featured in virtually every Town attacking move. Best display of season. Rating: 8/10

Danny Schofield Gave Swansea problems every time he moved forward and was at the heart of both GTF's goals. Rating: 7/10

Andy Booth Put his head in where it hurts all afternoon and used his nous to the full in a gutsy display as Town's loan frontman. Rating: 8/10

Tom Clarke Shone as Town's additional midfielder and worked hard to keep tabs on lively Leon Knight. Rating: 8/10

Spotlight on the ref:

Only one real complaint about Cheshire whistler Mike Jones - his 41st minute cautioning of David Mirfin, who kept his foot low and had every right to try and win a loose ball in the penalty area as keeper Willy Gueret tried to smother.

His other cards, for Swansea's Butler and Town trio Adams, Hudson and Booth, were fair and his overall display fluent.

Swansea: Gueret, Amakwaah (Way, 62mins), Austin (Williams, 55), Tate, Iriekpen, Pratley, Akinfenwa, Robinson, Lawrence, Knight, Butler (Britton, 55). Subs not used: Oakes, Fallon. Booked: Butler.
