Tranmere Rovers 2, Huddersfield Town 2

The sub had a shot blocked by Ian Goodison just two minutes in, then McIntosh's header was hastily cleared as Town signalled their attacking intentions.

Rovers did have a great chance to sew things up on 51 minutes, but Shuker, set up by Greenacre's hooked pass, hit the outside of Glennon's left-hand upright.

And their lead had been halved within 60 seconds.

As Tranmere failed to fully clear a corner, Michael Collins picked out Young, whose deep cross from the left was fumbled by Ward, leaving Booth to stab the ball home.

It was the lifeline Town had been seeking, and Booth's tantalising 55th-minute cross proved just out of McIntosh's reach while Young shot just wide after a good run as the home side started to look edgy.

Happier when going forward, Rovers had a couple more chances to clinch the points, but Glennon blocked Shuker's 67th-minute shot with his legs, then less than a minute later, pulled off a smart double save to deny Zola.

Another McIntosh header was scrambled wide for a corner, but Town weren't to be denied.

Luke Beckett, on as a 70th-minute replacement for Booth, received a Collins pass close to the right-hand angle of the home area and squared for Taylor-Fletcher to net his seventh of the season, and third in two games, with a neat right-foot shot.

Beckett could have clinched it for Town, but his 79th-minute shot was blocked by Ward's legs, while Zola couldn't keep his powerful header from Shuker's stoppage-time free-kick low enough.

Turning point:

Town goalkeeper Matt Glennon showed great reactions to twice deny Calvin Zola from close range in the 67th minute. Had the big man hit the net with either his initial shot or stabbed follow-up, Tranmere would have been 3-1 up and Town's comeback hopes hit severely. Instead, the visitors went on to level eight minutes later.
