Match report: Peterborough 4 - 0 Town
Oct 27 2008 by Dougie Thomson, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
The 25-year-old kicked off the procession of goals after 11 minutes, 20 seconds and ended it with a deflected strike which will give Matt Glennon nightmares.
Town’s keeper did make good saves from Chris Whelpdale, in the eighth minute, Mclean (35th and 61st), Mackail-Smith (52nd) and Russell Martin (stoppage time).
But he allowed Mclean’s 63rd-minute shot, which cannoned off Lucketti, to squirm from his grasp, and also failed to deal with George Boyd’s angled low drive for Posh’s second, in the 24th minute.
Questions have to be asked about how former Stevenage Borough man Boyd was able to run onto Paul Coutts’ neat pass and romp unchallenged from his own half down the left wing.
