Match report: Town 0 - 1 Leyton Orient
Nov 26 2008 by Dougie Thomson, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
Roberts fired over from the edge of the area before Purches made a fine clearance from his teasing cross.
And referee Chris Sarginson was subjected to more boos from the home fans after waving away Town’s penalty claim when Roberts tumbled under Thelwell’s clumsy-looking challenge from behind.
There was further frustration when Clarke nodded onto the roof of the net after a one-two with Roberts (he later put two headers from Roberts crosses wide).
Then Joe Skarz had a header from Cadamarteri’s centre blocked.
Corners came and went before a third spot-kick appeal was rejected after Butler was mauled by Mkandawire as he tried to jump for a Skarz cross.
Broadbent’s miss, from a flick-on by Glennon, who went up for the corner, summed up a disappointing evening, and to make matters worse, Town must now wait until Saturday week, when Walsall visit, to put things right.
