Match report: Huddersfield Town 0 - 0 Bristol Rovers
Jan 20 2010 by Dougie Thomson, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
TOWN were frustrated as Bristol Rovers emerged from their weather-enforced hibernation to force a goalless draw at the Galpharm.
The midfielder was one-on-one with keeper Alex Smithies, who spread himself to block, but the ball looped towards goal and it took a desperate clearance by the backtracking Antony Kay to prevent a goal.
A sluggish opening to the second half resulted in boss Clark changing both frontmen, with Theo Robinson and Robbie Simpson replacing Lee Novak (55 minutes) and Rhodes (58).

Robinson almost benefited in the 62nd minute, when Pilkington sprinted clear down the right and sent over a teasing cross, but he couldn’t get a good connection and the danger was cleared.
Rovers escaped again on 66 minutes, when Kay’s goalbound shot from a Pilkington corner was blocked.
Two minutes later, Anthony got a crucial headed touch back to his keeper as Simpson chased a long ball.
Anderson made his best save yet in the 78th minute as Town pushed for the breakthrough.
Pilkington floated in a free-kick which Peter Clarke flicked goalwards, but the keeper dived to his left to push the ball for a corner.
Five minutes later, Town stopper Smithies was the man making the crucial save, pushing Chris Lines’ shot against his right-hand upright and away.
The home supporters’ frustration continued as referee Russell Booth waved away a penalty appeal for handball just as his assistant signalled three minutes of time added on.
And it might have got even worse had Peltier not got in a sliding tackle to halt Rovers substitute Darryl Duffy as he sped in from the left.
