TOWN striker Jordan Rhodes has been named npower League I Player of the Month for December.
The 21-year-old striker scored six times in four games last month, including all four goals in his side’s 4-4 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
Town boss Lee Clark said of the Scotland international “I am not surprised that Jordan has won the award as he has been outstanding.
“It is not just his goals, his overall performances have been of the highest quality. He has looked like an international player.
“I believe he is responding to all the nice things being said about him and the speculation linking him with clubs in the higher leagues.”
Peter Beagrie, Sky’s Football League expert who sits on the judging panel, said: “Jordan continued to enhance his growing reputation with another glut of goals last month.
“His development has been frighteningly quick and he already looks like a top-quality player.
“To have topped 20 league goals at this stage in the season is an exceptional achievement.”
