Fans of the Week on screen

TOWN have the `Fans of the Week' on Soccer A.M. tomorrow.

The Sky Sports 1 show, presented by Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain (9am), has a cult following and the Town fans will take part before heading off to watch their team in action at Southend.

"We just meet for games under the John Smith's where we're all season-ticket holders, have a pint and look forward to the game," said Paul Goodwin, one of the group.

"I've been e-mailing Soccer A.M. to appear for at least three or four years. I've had a couple of calls back from them but it's never gone any further than that. As a consequence I've been slated by everyone for saying we're going to be on and then being disappointed. I have had so much stick it's unbelievable, until now of course!"

Goodwin says they're looking forward to meeting the Soccerette.

"The lads will have to sing a song, so I think the one we're going for is: "Who needs Mourinho, when we've got Jacko," he said.

"The club have very kindly lent us kit to wear when we do `The road to Wembley' and try and get the most balls through the hole.

"We hope everyone will text in. We're looking at anything above five as a good score."

They've chosen Marcus Stewart as their favourite player of the last 10 years and Kenny Irons' winner at Chelsea as their favourite goal.
