Andy gets nod!

TOWN go into their biggest battle of the season against bruising Brentford tomorrow with Andy Booth ready to add powerful back-up to the Galpharm gameplan (3.00).

The 31-year-old fans' favourite has come through a Reserve match and two tough training sessions this week after spending a month sidelined by a hamstring injury.

If he comes through today's full squad workout, manager Peter Jackson may well include Booth on the bench to provide an aerial option if needed against a tough Brentford team he rates highly.

"If Andy is feeling okay then he will be involved in the squad," confirmed Jackson, whose team are in the LDV Vans Trophy first round draw at 9.30am tomorrow (Sky Sports' Soccer A.M).

"Brentford are a big, physical side who get the ball forward quickly and put you under pressure, so it's a big test for us.

"I've told the lads that if they don't know tomorrow morning when they wake up that they are in for a battle, they soon will do in the afternoon.

"The most important thing tomorrow is that we compete with Brentford and, when we've got the ball, we play and dictate the game to them."

Jackson warns Brentford are strong at set pieces.

"Martin Allen has got them well organised as a unit and they play to their strengths, so we have to get among them and play our own football," added Jackson, who is hoping for another 14,000-strong Galpharm crowd.

Town fans should note that tickets for the big derby against Bradford City at Valley Parade on Monday, October 10, go on sale to season-ticket holders, Blue and White Foundation members and Patrons on Monday (9.30am).

Tickets are priced £18 for adults, £12 seniors and £10 juniors. Tickets for disabled are half price.

Any remaining tickets will go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday, September 30.

Tickets are still on sale for next Wednesday's Carling Cup trip to Blackburn priced £10 adults, £5 Over 65s and £3 for 15s and Under. Disabled adults £7, free for helper. Tickets will be on sale at Ewood Park on the night.
