Huddersfield Town 3, Brentford 2

A scything tackled by skipper Jon Worthington spoke volumes for the commitment and, after a cross by Danny Adams was touched on by Booth, Schofield knocked home the equaliser.

Two minutes and 38 seconds of added time had gone and the Galpharm was bouncing - but even more drama was to come!

With Brentford's men in black desperately trying to hang on, they conceded a throw-in near the right corner flag and Nathan Clarke - imposing at the back - sprinted 60 yards to grab the ball.

He launched it superbly towards the six-yard box and Booth - with the precision and power which has been the trademark of his career - leaped high above the defenders to head a magnificent winner.

It was reward for a glorious gamble by Jackson, who had been set to move Booth to centre-back when the score went to 2-2, and the goal sparked the sort of delirium which is reserved only for very special occasions at the Galpharm.

Booth, no thought for the hamstring injury which had kept him out a month, launched himself into the air in front of the John Smith's faithful before being swamped by teammates and the giant figure of Terry the Terrier.
