Let's get six!

SUPER SUB Gary Taylor-Fletcher is hunting a first Galpharm goal and maximum points from Town's big home double header.

The 24-year-old frontman rescued a point with his sixth goal of the season at Layer Road, where Town were indebted to keeper Paul Rachubka in earning a 1-1 draw against Colchester.

It kept Town level with the leaders and now, with Tranmere at home tomorrow (7.45) and Bournemouth on Saturday, Fletch is hoping Peter Jackson's side can bolster their challenge with successive wins.

"These are two really big games for us and we want to keep our run going," said Fletch, whose goals so far have all come away from home.

"It was important we didn't get beaten on Saturday because it enabled us to stay joint top of the League and, with these massive home games to come, hopefully we can take six points and push on from there."

Taylor-Fletcher went on for leading scorer Pawel Abbott after losing his place in the last two games to Andy Booth and he delivered after George Elokobi had put Colchester ahead.

"It was good to get the equaliser because I was a bit disappointed to be left out at Blackburn, but I can only keep my head up, keep working and keep trying my best," he said.

"The keeper committed early so I took it wide and got a good contact with my left foot. It was well over the line, no danger.

"I was pleased it earned us a point and I'm happy with six goals so far, although I would love one at the Galpharm!

"I've said all along I want at least double figures, so I just need to keep pushing myself and get back in the team."

Jackson reported no further injuries for the game against Tranmere, who drew 2-2 at home with Gillingham.
