FIT-AGAIN Martin McIntosh was delighted to complete his first senior game in four months and believes 2006 will bring happier times for him and for Town.

The 34-year-old defender slotted in for suspended David Mirfin in the 2-2 draw at Barnsley and was ready to start again against Gillingham today.

"Once I got used to the pace of the game I was fine," said Tosh, who is back after knee surgery.

"It's my first game for four months and things can only get better from here. The year 2005 has been a bit of a dodgy one for me, but I'm looking at my move to Huddersfield as a massive positive and I'm looking forward to a really good 2006 for me and for the club."

He added: "I thought we totally dominated Barnsley and created a lot more chances in the game than in the previous three or four put together.

"We would have been gutted if we'd lost and we're still a bit disappointed we didn't win, but at least it's a point.

"We haven't picked up that many of late - four points out of 18 sounds horrendous - and we all know we need to get back to winning ways.

"The sooner that happens the better and, hopefully, Fletch's equaliser will prove that little break that we need to get us going again and we can kick on from here."
