Will Worthington and Williams play?

TOWN fans will be keen to discover whether Jon Worthington and Robbie Williams are involved against Southend or Leeds.

With no reserve match until Shrewsbury visit the Galpharm on Wednesday, December 19, boss Andy Ritchie is keen to fix up another private friendly.

Town recently played Salford College, allowing the recovery duo vital gametime, and with both figuring in the 1-1 Pontin’s League draw with Leicester on Wednesday, Ritchie confirmed they are close to first-team contention.

Skipper Worthington is pictured trying a shot against Southend at Roots Hall when Town last visited, for a 1-1 draw in August 2005.
