Wise hails win

LEEDS boss Dennis Wise made a quick dash from the dressing room to tell reporters: “I enjoyed that.”

Speaking within minutes of the final whistle, the former Millwall and Swindon chief said: “It was a fantastic atmosphere and a good game.

“It took us 24 minutes to have a shot on goal, which puzzled me, but overall I was pleased with the way we played.

“The commitment, the goals and the clean sheet were all terrific and overall, I thought we were a lot better than Huddersfield.”

The match was preceded by a minute’s applause to mark the previous day’s 10th anniversary of the death of former Leeds captain Billy Bremner.

Current captain Jonathan Douglas, who like Bremner wears No4, scored the opening goal.
