Welsh through and through!

BORN in the mining town of Llwynypia, in the Rhonnda Valley in South Wales, Robert Page first represented his country at schools level.

He also played for Wales’ Youth, Under 21 and B teams before graduating to full international honours.

His first cap came in the hotbed of Istanbul, where Turkey beat Wales 6-4 in a World Cup qualifier in August 1997.

The last of his 40 outings was in the 1-0 defeat by Cyprus in Limassol in November 2005.
