Quickfire sell-out is on cards

TOWN were expecting Chelsea tickets to get close to a sell-out today.

Just over 2,000 were snapped up yesterday by top-priority fans for the fifth-round FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge a week on Saturday.

They were available to all season-ticket holders today with business expected to be very brisk.

Meanwhile, Chris Brandon was aiming to stake a claim for a first-team return when Town reserves took on Walsall this afternoon.

The midfielder is available again after a three-match ban imposed for his red card in the 1-1 League I draw at Brighton.

He was part of a strong side on duty for the Pontin’s Holidays League Central Division fixture at the home of non-league Chasetown.

Andy Booth, who has come off the bench for the last two League I games, was playing up front.

And David Mirfin, among the substitutes since the arrival of Rob Page from Coventry, was in central defence.

Malvin Kamara and Joe Skarz were also in the travelling party.

Town have ended their interest in former Walsall player Leon Quarless.
