Chelsea 3, Huddersfield Town 1

FOR THE second time in three years, Town failed to get past Chelsea in the FA Cup - but once again, put up a spirited performance against the Premiership giants.

Frank Lampard opened Chelsea's account in the 18th minute, but the anticipated onslaught failed to materialise and - to the incredulity of a stunned Stamford Bridge - it was Huddersfield who scored the next goal, a Michael Collins effort on the stroke of half-time.

Lampard restored the home side's lead on the hour, and Town threw everything forward seeking the equaliser.

But it was game over just 10 minutes later, when they were caught on the counter and Kalou slotted home the third past an unfortunate Matt Glennon.
