Town one point ahead of Brighton

GLENN MURRAY and Joel Lynch struck late goals as Brighton came from behind to beat Cheltenham 2-1 and remain a place and a point behind Town in League I.

Striker Steve Brooker put Cheltenham ahead with his first goal for the club, scoring from 20 yards in the third minute.

Brighton keeper Michel Kuipers then saved from Steve Gillespie, while Alan Wright missed narrowly from 35 yards.

Murray struck the bar before eventually levelling from 12 yards after a long ball forward from Lynch in the 80th minute.

Lynch then headed the winner with two minutes to go.

Carlisle’s clash with Nottingham Forest fell victim to a frozen pitch.
