Arsenal confirm Galpharm date

TOWN’S centenary celebration match against Arsenal will take place at the Galpharm Stadium on Wednesday, August 6, with a 7.00 kick-off.

Manager Arsene Wenger (left), could visit West Yorkshire with his team champions of both Europe and the Premier League.

They lead the domestic table by a point from Manchester United and take on AC Milan for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals tomorrow, with the tie goalless after the first leg in England.

Arsenal were chosen for the glamour match because of their historic link with Town through the legendary manager Herbert Chapman, who created triple title-winning teams at both clubs.

It will be the North Londoners’ first visit to Huddersfield since September 1993, when they were 5-0 winners in a League Cup second round first-leg tie at Leeds Road.
